Tina, Have you tried Chifa? It’s a Peruvian style of cooking. Tomatoes are native to Peru, and the Chinese immigrants incorporated them into their cuisine when they settled in Peru in the 1800′s. One of my favorite dishes is Lomo Saltado, which means Sauteed Sirloin.

This is great! Highly entertaining and accurate as well as inspiring. I’ve been thinking of the small yet huge differences between Mexican and Italian food and considering making a similar post about ways to use tomatoes.
