Call Washington…it’s easy
Everywhere we turn we hear about the Meltdown and the need for the Bailout. I do not believe in the Bailout. I’ve been talking all week about letting my elected officials in Washington know how I feel about it. Now I know they are going to do what politicians do, but this time I took the time to look up the phone numbers of my Reps and I called their offices. On my own dime I might add. The staffers that answered the phones in Senator Nelson’s and Congressman Diaz-Balart’s offices were very friendly and accommodating. They actually made me feel that they were listening. I made my brief statement and thanked them for taking my call. Senator Martinez’s voicemail was full. (tsk tsk)
Now I feel great; my conscience is clear.
Now when my children get the bill for this at least I can look them in the eye and tell them honestly that I was on the record as being against any bailout.
